3% rebates on gas is about as good as it get. There is a $500 limit per month but that is much better than the Discover offer.

If you are going to get a chase card then get the Freedom card that gives you 3% back in your top 3 spending categories. It has a $600 limit on the 3% bonus. Everything else always gets 1% cash back. I usually average out to 2% per month spending $900 monthly

Echoing what another commenter said - go with the Chase Freedom card instead of this one. The introductory 6% back is nice, but over the long-term you'll get more back with the Freedom card if you use it for things other than gas.

If you are looking for a card with discounts for gas AMEX has one in conjunction with costco that offers 3% back on gas and dining, 2% on travel and 1% on all others with no cap. They also have a 5% discount card on gas, wireless phone service, office supplies for business owners - I have the personal card and love the savings.

Get the Discover Open Road card to get 5% on Gas up to $100 a month. Equivalent to $5 discount on gas every month.
I use my Chase Freedom card for much less common things such as restaurants, cell phone and cable/satellite. Not much else give you 3% on those.

I joined my joining some militarty organization for 1 year. I think it cost $20-25. At the time, they had the best CD rates and I was buying one so it made since.
They have a card with 5% back on all gas "paid at the pump". And 2% back on grocery stores which INCLUDES both walmarts.
My pefectcard gives me 3% in my top 3 categories and when I get to $200, they make it $250 which ups the reward to 3.75% and 1.5%.
However, the penfed card offers an immediate credit every month.
So I used penfed for all gas & at walmarts, Chase at supermarkets & drugstores. Discover only when they have a promotional deal like now, 5% on home stores & dept stores.

Look into the Citi Driver's Edge, if you like this card.

The AMEX Simply Cash is my card for gas. 5% cash back, no maximum reward, and you are rewarded in the form of statement credits every month. Anyone can get a business card. Your SSN is your Tax ID number as you are a sole proprietor.
