Still a good card.

In August of 2024, Synchrony bank which is in charge of the card, lowered the flat cash back rates from 2% to 1.5% on regular purchases. Still no categories to bother you. In my eyes this remains a competitive rate on the anyway dull CC-market, just not the best one; there are cards around that offer more and a handful of them with flat cashback as well. You still get 3% cashback if you use PayPal - the payment network popular enough and easy to deal with for managing personal finances and resolving unavoidable issues, related to online payments. My personal experience with PayPal is great. High APR, but the majority of other cards are just as aggressive, having mercy for introductory period only. Best not to carry any balance in this life. Easy to apply for. I did a while ago and already had a PayPal Credit account which I had used sparingly before. As someone mentioned here in the good honest review it helps. No hard pulls were made before the decision was made in my case. Generous credit limit too. I say PPMC is still an amazing niche flat cash back credit card. Hope it helps. Thank you.

Beware... Synchrony is a bad creditor..

A month before Christmas they dropped my credit limit by around $2000... They claimed it was due to my credit history but I had nothing that changed in my history to account for the change. Due to this happening, it dropped my credit by 40 points. Same happened to my wife's account at the same exact time. Also happened with JCPenney's and Harbor Freight cards which is also owned by Synchrony. No other credit card company's have ever taken credit away except Synchrony.... Beware
