I signed up for the Online Savings account. Process was pretty simple and the rates are as high as I have seen from a reputable bank. GMAC don't screw this up.

I have opened a number of accounts since they changed their name from GMAC Bank, only because the rates are competitively higher. Everything went smoothly, from initial setup to fund transfers.

I got a CD through Ally. According to bankrate.com, Ally had the best nationally available CD rate at the time I opened the account.
Good customer service, too.
