The Store itself is competively priced, so there's no hidden fee there. I applied and received this card about a year ago with scores in the 620-650 range, which is pretty much where they've remained because of numerous inquiries and 12 new lines in 2 years, and a 6 figure tax lien from a failed venture years ago. Started with a secured Cap1 at $2,000, then picked up a bunch of the BS cards with the crazy fees and tiny limits, just to establish credit. Keeping the Secured Card, as it's my oldest at just over 3 years. Cancelled all 4 of the crazy fee entry level cards as I accumulated medium grade cards from cap1, Barclays, Discover, a bunch of store cards etc.I also have 2 loans from Carmax. First with cosigner, paid, and the second is current. Also one Student loan for $3800, paid. Zero late pays. Anyway, HHGREGG started at $1,500, just shy of a year ago, and I maxed it out while buying a $2,200 TV. They ALWAYS have Interest free promotions, so the 19.9% rate never applies. I set the autopay at $75 per month, figuring I'd use the free money for 20 of the 24 months offered, and avoid having to make any big balloon payments at the end to avoid interest. This formula apparently worked for their bean counters, as they bumped my limit from $1,500 to $3500 after about 8 months, without my asking, and with no additional credit pull. This in turn lowered my utilization which seems to ride between 30 and 40% of about $15,000. I highly reccommend this card for credit building purposes, simply because the credit limit grows quickly, and virtually anything you purchase will be interest free for 6, 12, 18, or 24 months depending on the size of the purchase.

So far, so good. The rate is a bit high but service is fine.
