I honestly don't understand all the negative reviews on this, especially about the online banking. I personally love 5/3rds online banking and app banking. I have seen my wifes online banking for another company and it was god awful and looked like something from the 90s lol...

But the card itself, I've had since probably... 2012? Being now 2017 I have not had an automatic increase. My Credit limit is $300 and has remained that way since I have never requested an increase. I am currently building back up my credit at the moment to apply for another card from Chase (hopefully their Unlimited Card).

The card allows you to do online transfers (payments) if you have a bank account with 5/3 as well. The interest on a cash withdraw seemed a bit high when I had to a couple times.

Other than that I personally love the card and wish I could just request my increase right now. But I really don't want  a set back when I'm trying to build for a higher CS.

Oh and I applied for the card in person and got approved that day at the bank.

Run, don't walk!

I was approved for this card and initially indicated a balance transfer on the application. Prior to receipt of the car, I called customer service to find out my limit and learned that it was not high enough for a balance transfer so I cancelled it. Subsequently, I received a letter confirming the balance transfer cancellation. However, several weeks later, the BT was done anyway. This bank has denied any and all responsibility and accountability for this and blamed it on the third party company that processes their balance transfer. Yeah, right. I am suing. Stay away from this bank!

I was givena 7k credit line on a pre-approved offer. I had trouble logging in the first couple of times but the customer service is on point and helped me out right away. They have always been friendly when I called in and always resolve the reasons I called in about on one call. I am not sure why there are so many poor reviews for this bank. I login a few times per month to check my transactions and make sure there is nothing there that is not supposed to be. i did have one disoute and was credited back in 2 days and the dispute was resolved in my favor quickly. They gave me another pre-approved offer after about 45 days of having the first card. They take about 1 to 2 weeks to approve it but are generous with the credit lines. I have 640-650 fico, excellent payment history on all accounts. I have high useage right now is why my score is low but I was able to transfer balances to these cards to help pay off my debt with no interest intro rates. Other cards I was approved for recently was amex , they only gave a 1k credit line, while most other cards I have are over $5k. I like this card and will continue to use them and recommend this card and 5th 3rd to anyone who is asking.

Fees, fees, and more fees.

I opted for paperless statements.  I was told that I would receieve a notification when the payment was due.   There was no notification; instead there was a $35.00 fee, the first fee I have had to pay in over 15 years.  I tried to resolve the issue but their customer service is script-laden and monotonous.  Since the fee wasn't going to be reported as a late fee, I just paid it and moved on.

Just recently I tried to use the card to pay at a automated parking garage.  The machine which processes the parking ticket kept my card.   I called 5/3 Bank and talked to customer service.  They told me there was a $10 charge to replace a lost or missing card.   My experience has been that most major banks will give you a one-off free replacement card, because, life happens, and cards do get misplaced, stolen, or even eaten by machines.  But no, the good people at 5/3 Bank won't have any of that.   You pay the fee because it costs them money to mint a new card.  Never mind that you have been a good and loyal customer.

I have no respect for the way they do business.   They make no effort to build positive client relations, or otheriwse good feelings towards the company.  Their attitude is simply; Give us the money (and shut up).

Not modern. Needs much improvement

I have a credit card with them with a $300 limit. I have had it for over a year now. They do not do automatic increases. You have to do a hard pull on your credit report every time! You cannot access any info online unless you have a bank account with them. No online payments. Takes forever for a payment to post to your account. I have good credit and 3 other cards with huge credit limits. No late payments at all. Yet, if I want to increase my limit, I have to do a hard pull. I realize other cards have you do a hard pull but many do automatic increases using soft pulls for customers who have good credit and are never late on payments. Not happy with Fifth Third at all. Capital One is MUCH better.
