Hotel credit cards

We think you'll love these cards from our partners.
CK Editors’ Tips††: Hotel credit cards can earn you valuable rewards, a path to elite status and perks during your stays.

What to consider when choosing a hotel credit card
Co-branded hotel credit cards can offer eye-popping rewards and perks for relatively low annual fees, but they’re not right for everyone. If you travel often and usually stay at the same chain, one of these cards can supercharge your status and help you redeem points for award nights faster. For those who like to maintain flexibility, though, it might be better to get a flexible travel rewards card that earns you points at many different hotel chains.
How we picked the best hotel credit cards
Our picks for the best hotel credit cards represent several popular uses for hotel credit cards, like gaining luxurious perks or earning free nights. We addressed features at a variety of annual fees, looking for the best value overall and straightforward ways to get something out of a hotel credit card. Read more about our methodology for picking the best credit cards.

The inside scoop on hotel cards
A great hotel credit card can help you save money and make your stays more comfortable. But before you apply for one, it's important to consider what kind of hotel card is best for you.

How to choose a hotel credit card

First, think about whether you want a credit card that offers rewards for staying at different hotels or just at one chain.
A flexible travel card that offers bonus points for hotel bookings at lots of different hotels could be a good bet if you like researching the best rates and keeping your options open.
But if you already have a favorite hotel chain, you might like the status, perks and benefits that a card specific to that hotel could get you.

Is the annual fee worth it?

Once you've decided on a flexible vs. specific hotel card, you can focus on the different card features to find one that best fits your needs.
Pay attention to the annual fee in particular: Hotel credit cards can feature high annual fees or no annual fee at all, with a range of options available for many different types of travelers.
Whether you want high rewards-earning rates, a particular hotel perk or another kind of travel benefit you could find it with a hotel credit card. You'll just have to decide if those benefits are worth the cost of the card.
