You can always check with a bank and get a secured credit cards. Most banks will issue these with as little as $500. You put $500 in a secured account. It will draw interest and you will be able to charge up to $500 against what you have in the account. Make payments on time and use the card sparingly and soon you will be getting offers for unsecured credit cards. I did this through Wells Fargo for two years and now have very little trouble obtaining credit.

capital one. my girlfriend has a score of 529 and they gave her a card with 500 limit.
