I LOVE THE FACT OF MY INTEREST RATE BEING ONLY 2% (MY CREDIT SCORE 680 EXPIRIAN ) , LOVE THE WAY THEY TREAT ME SPECIALLY FOR MY PERSONAL BANKER, EVERYTHING WAS SIMPLE AN SMOOOTH PROCESS I WILL ALWAYS COME BACK TO THEM BETTER THAN MY TWO CREDIT UNION
As a real estate agent, I usually have a few trusted lenders I recommend. When my client chose to work with his rep at US Bank for his mortgage (inatead of a great lender I suggested) based on a promise that seemed too good to be true, I was wary. I valled the lender and asked that they be 100% up front about every fee and step of their process. They were not, and ended up costung my clients hundreds of dollars and not being able to close on time. I jabe spent my last week cleaning up their messes to try to protect my client.
My wife and I have shared this card for the past 3 years and love it! It provides a generous credit limit, good customer service and online experience, no foreign fees and excellent rewards. Although you can redeem rewards for merchandise or cash back, we have found you can almost double the value of your rewards when using it to redeem for airfare/travel. We have redeemed almost $3,000 in rewards travel in the first 3 years and never paid a dime of interest!
You won't get your 5% back on your at&t phone bill because the merchant description doesn't say CELLPHONE on it. Pretty bogus. What's funny is the companies that they say they accept don't even really apply. This is a "rewards" card that doesn't like to pay you rewards. Canceling it.
Be careful about making payments over the phone. I made a payment before due date as I normally do...I tried to use my caRd at the end of the month and found out that Mt payment was not processed. I had to make another payment to use darn card..although it came out of my checking account...they claim they could not find the payment...member services sucks...did nothing for me..closing my account..
This card will benefit folks who travel LAN frequently. Otherwise, it's not worth the $75 annual fee.
I canceled my card two months after I paid the annual fee, and US Bank will not return the prorated fee. Other banks offer that.
Also, the phone number listed on the back of the LANPASS card goes to LAN customer service that helps you purchase plane tickets. They have absolutely nothing to do with the credit card and were super rude (although I have to say it was pretty funny when Mr. Sassy at LAN called me "lady" for the 18th time during a 3 minute conversation).
