Will a credit card company lower your APR if you ask?
I've heard of long standing customers convincing their credit card companies to lower their APR if they just ask? Is this real talk or a load of bs? I'm carrying a large balance on a card that not only has a very high APR, but has a high minimum due monthly and the interest on the balance is more than the minimum payment. This seems almost impossible to escape this balance. Every loan(w/ low apr) that I qualify for is only a third of my balance...should I transfer some of it and pay it off at a lower apr? or hold out for a loan that will qualify me to transfer all of it?
