Closed Credit Card Account Affecting Score
Why is a credit card account that was closed about 7 years ago still get reported to credit report? It shows one delinquent payment and that was several years before I closed it. The account was closed because I was not satisfied with the level of service at that bank, and I closed all accounts, zero balance on everything, and opened accounts with a different bank. So that makes one delinquent payment about 9 or 10 years ago, on an account that was closed 7 years ago. Why is it still reported and affecting my score?
