To get help by phone, you have to call the main office in a different city, but they never answer the phone. You are given sets of buttons to press, none of which are very helpful, and usually end up pressing "member services" but then there's a long wait before anyone answers. The local branch staff is helpful, but you have to go there in person and they usually have long lines due to being understaffed. The main office spams your email, snail mail and phone with advertiisements, and gives your personal information to outside companies who do the same thing. I have requested in writing several times to stop but they keep on doing it. They also sent out a notice that they have the right to give your personal information to anyone, and that you can't opt out of it.
