I was out of the country for a long time and so my credit history pretty much completely dissapeared. I decided to start reclaiming my previously excellent credit score slowly, and one of the ways I decided to do that was by opening some new lines of credit to build history. I first opened a secured card which brought me from no score to 660, and then after two months, I was able to open an account with my dream card, the BECU Visa! They have offered me a very low interest rate (less than half that of the secured card I initially got from Citi) as well as a fair balance for someone with limited history like me, and the process over the phone was painless and friendly. I am a BECU member and this just makes me love the organization even more than I already do.
