Has your credit card been hacked?
I returned from a cruise and had several voicemails from Capital One. The first was a call saying my card had been used and they were confirming the charge was legitimate. Then I had 2 other calls saying it had been used again and the charge was denied. I called the number and after they confirmed I was the cardholder (by information and a call back from them) they told me a card I hadn't used in years was being used to purchase things on the internet. The fort was a $10 charge for time on a cell phone in South America. The second was for $86 in merchandise charged on the internet. I had been on the ocean when the first charge was used and also when the others were tried and didn't have access to the internet either day (the ship had it but I didn't buy time). I figured out which card was being used and hadn't used it for years. They offered to replace the cancelled card but I told them to just cancel the whole thing. They kept saying I wasn't responsible for the fraud. Thanks to Capital One for looking out for me and themselves.
