First, try getting cards with 500 score

A mid 500 score is not considered good, especially for credit card approvals. It will be difficult to get one card as it is. However, it is difficult to say if these many cards will help. Hypothetically, if one gets 10 cards (lets assume the best dream come true), pays them well, doesn't max out on cards, then the score should rise. However, definitely not in 6 months. The reason is, opening 10 cards also means adding 10 hard enquiries to your file (and 10 is a pretty high number). These enquries will affect your score for 1 year. Any positive effect will only be seen after that, provided you do all things right.
