What card that is not secured is good for bad credit?
What card that is not secured is good for bad credit? My bad credit is due to medical bills from an ill child and I'm trying to pay it off currently. I got a fingerhut which has helped actually and raised my score 40 points almost overnight. Any other advise?

I would suggest Capital One's platinum/QuickSilver"One", look their reviews under Credit Card section here, they are very friendly to people whom are rebuilding their credit. Use their pre-approve site and see come up for you (be sure to check "average" for your credit rating on the bottom), if nothing show up or you get turn down by them? Then maybe you need look into their or other banks secured card...

Since you already have at least one good account? Maybe you can just wait few more months to let the baddies age bit more and at same time, build more positive payment histories... Please stay away from those cards with extremely high interest rate (36%) and high annual/monthly fees (they probably will hold your payment for 5 days then charge you late fee, and charge you fees for having a fee) or the ones you need fork out 275 bucks first to get a 300 limit......

~Best of luck
