Removing myself from parents' credit card
A few years ago, my parents had added me to their credit card while I was studying abroad. Recently, they've used it a lot and have a very high percentage of the card being used. I am not making any payments or connected to this in any way and it seems to be negatively impacting my credit score. I have my own credit card and am want to open another to increase my score. My question is whether or not it would benefit me to be removed from their credit card. I'm afraid my score would go down (I've always heard not to cancel cards). But I'm also thinking about moving out and need to do something to increase my credit and it's become frustrating because this card has nothing to do with me. Any advice? Thanks in advance!
