Remove a credit card credit limit
I have a credit card that is paid off completely but has a 19,000 credit limit. I called the company and asked them to close this account because we don't even have the card any longer. Will this being removed, help with my credit score?

Wish you'd asked before acting

Your credit score is based partly on the amount of available credit you have.  As long as that account remains open (even if you don't have/use the card) it still adds 19,000 to your available credit.  Closing the account reduces your available credit by 19000 and will drop your credit score.
