509 = declined.

With a 509, you should consider a secured credit card as most unsecured cards will decline that score.

I had to do the 1st Premier card and pay the fees but I got a second card approved no fees except $74 annual w/$500 credit limit and I had less than 550 score with a recent bankruptcy as well. I am trying to fix my credit and I also just got approved through Capital One for $500 with 0% Intro rate. My score currently says 588.. which it was 533 when approved through Cap One... Try Orchard Bank...

$500-$2500 is reasonable for student cards.

I find this card ridiculous! You have to have good credit in order to get approved. WTF? Its suppose to be a student card with people to start out their credit.

i have a 577 what card would be good for me

With that score you will be declined for most unsecured credit cards. There are a couple of credit cards with extremely high fees which would approve you, but a secured credit card is generally better because at least you get your deposit back. Public Savings Bank is the most popular of the secured credit cards on the site.

This is not a good offer it is supposed to help you build your credit instead they expect you to have a good credit score. It said you could have poor to excellent mine is fair 521 to be exact. I have a capital one limit started at 1,000 now that is good.

Capital One might be one of the few reasons why your score's so low - http://www.consumerismcommentary.com/2006/09/15/capital-one-credit-cards-hurt-your-credit-score/

My credit score is currently 647. I filed bankruptcy back in December of 2008, but it was discharged in March of 09. Would I be approved for a card?

Most lenders will have a requirement on recent bankruptcies. Your best option is probably a secured credit card.
