It always seems to be lower than your Fico  score for some reason.   I noticed this too.

Never use always when it comes to credit scores. From the research that i have done, the two models take weight things differently. It looks like recent credit is much higher rated.  Source: http://www.vantagescore.com/about/vantagescore_methodology/

My Excellent FICO is a C! That's a huge difference. I can't seem to find any definitive answers as to what Vantage checks that makes the scores so VASTLY different. I saw one article that mentioned utilitiy payments, but when I lived alone those were paid on time every single month. Does ANYONE have a credible answer for this one? Oh, and I checked the vantage score site and it's not very helpful. The details are vague at best.

In my case, my FICO rating is 'Good,' but my Vantage rating is Excellent (the highest score possible, in fact). What could explain this difference?
