Want to get a credit card and an auto loan?
I want to get a credit card and a new car, as both will be necessities in the coming months. I realize they will both require hard inquiries. If I get a credit card and increase my available credit, obviously my credit score will go up. I think getting the card first would be a wiser decision since the auto loan will only decrease my credit score. However, will there be a significant impact on my chances of getting the auto loan if there is a recent hard inquiry from a credit card even if I'm approved? Along that topic, how many hard inquiries are "okay" before they affect your credit score/approval?
