I want to get my girl an auto loan.
I am getting deployed and in 6 months I want to be able to buy my wife a car. I still have my auto loan which is my very first one. I have never been late a payment and I have been paying way more than the minimum. is it necessary to pay off my first auto loan in order to get a better rate for hers? that should be my only loan all my credit cards will be paid off. my score will be about 700. if I do have to pay off my car first how far in advance should I pay it off? Is it best to pay off your car way faster than the time limit on the loan? its for 48 months and I have only had it 13. So i will pay it off in less than half the time. what are your suggestions?
