Time span of score going down vs up
Does a score go down faster than it goes back up? For example, let's say a score is 700. A credit card is maxed out sending the credit score down a hypothetical 30 points to 670. Let's say minimum payments are made on the card for two months and then the card gets paid off in full. Assuming absolutely nothing else has changed to affect the score would the credit score return to 700 immediately after it is reported to the credit agency? The card holder is in the same financial position as before the credit usage so it seems like it should be, but I would guess the credit agency(s) would drag it out as if he/she had done something drastic thereby having the credit score going down immediately upon borrowing, but slowly after paying it off.
