How long before those credit inquiries go away?
I have twelve inquires from when I bought my first car over a year ago and I'm pretty sure I dropped a good 20 points because of it. How long before those don't count against my score?

Hard inquiries stay on your report for about 2 years, they will drop off after that, and 12 inquires is high so it is very likely your score dropped as a result.
