I applied to Capital One to see about improving my score and gaining credit just like anyone else. After applying they of course wanted verification of income and address, which I sent as a fax and mailed a hard copy to them just in case the fax never got received or some power outage there, etc.. I had waited almost a month, because of school and life I completely forgot to check on it, but was expecting to hear from them any way. When I had called they first couldn't find where I had applied, then found it and told me they couldn't verify income. I advised them that I not only sent it by fax but also had mailed a hard copy to them as well. After being bounced to 3 different people they finally found my income verification and told me that they needed a few days to a week for review and they would contact me. I waited the week just to be on the safe side and called. They had told me at first they had everything they needed including my income verification, then after calling back a week later as the representative had instructed they claim then that they couldn't find my verification of income and that I needed to file and new application. I asked them if it would count as another inquiry since I am trying to repair my credit, hense trying to get a secured card. They told me that they would have to take another application from me and that it would count as another total hard inquiry and they appologized. I told them that appologies are fine but that doesn't help when I need credit and your company is putting the inquiries there that will hurt my credit. Now I have the 2 hard inquiries that have to be dealt with and still no credit card. Applicants beware!!!

This is the worst card to apply for dont do it,see if you have a low score then it will tell you hay apply for credit

on this card not accept you then take 3 points not good right, the more people apply the more relevant  that card isand they will continue pulling down scores that are tring to come up try Merick bank I think thats the name got approved for that one
