I got my credit score from experian on 7/1/2010 and it was 688, but karma has my score at 586, that is like 100 point difference.

There might be a time lag invoved here in the reporting but I have the same general experiencs. Karm scores seem to be very coservative. My actual FICO is 60 points higher.

Each of the credit agencies calculate the score differently, and even have different scales. Additionally, each credit agency has at least slightly different information on you.
Plus, scores can change daily for a person on any number of factors. You can get your score from the same agency today and tomorrow and there be 25 points difference, even though there may be no easily discernible change in your credit.
Though, Experian and TransUnion use similar scales, you do have to wonder about the 100 point difference (as long as you really are using the Experian ratings and not another rating with a differene scale based on your Experian report).
You need to determine what changes there have been with your overall reporting, or even what differences there are between your TranUnion and Experian reporting to get started.

Well they are different companies, but 100 points is a lot. You did update CreditKarma score recently before or after checking the Experian report right?

My score on Experian is 817, and here it is 680. Transunion score 764

Same here. Im actually wondering how accurate Experian is b/c CreditKarma has been relatively accurate in the past. I just opened up an account with Experian today and it says my score is 719 and creditkarma says my score is 676. Hm..
