Credit score dropped 132 points in one day. Why?
Good question? Vote for this

I had a credit score 0f 754 yesterday. Today, it has dropped to 622. I have made on time full payments on every card Any reason why this could be so?

Any chance a judgement or seriously delinquency was report? This one should be investigated immediately. I don't want to be alarmist but these types of drops can be indicative of identity theft.

Found out what was happening. I had set up automatic online payments with my previous utility company. When we moved, I closed the account, but they did not deduct my final billed amount from my bank account because their policy forbids automatic payments when the account has been marked for closure. I had asked for the mail to be held, so their paper statements never reached me either. So they reported the account as sent to collection. Called up and explained the situation to their Credit Reporting Department and they have promised to look into this. We will see what happens.
