Can I return a retail store credit card I got last week by mistake? Please advice.
Good question? Vote for this

I am a newbie. I have credit card for the past 3 months. Last week, I went to a retail store and at the counter applied for the card, thinking it was a normal membership card. But it is a credit card. I am sure I will not use it in future as I do not shop frequently. Is it a good idea to return the card immediately. Will it affect my credit score? Please advice.

It is not good idea. Teh damage to your credit (the hard pull, the lowering of your average lines of credit) is done. May as well keep it for the few benefits it does have (extra card, increased credit limit).
