Negative impact to credit score by Mortgage Company. How do I remove these hard hits on my credit?
I am taking out a mortgage loan and signing closing documents tomorrow. I found out a few days ago the mortgage agency has pulled my credit rating 9 times during the loan process which reduced my credit score due to multiple inquiries on my credit. No other agencies have pulled credit info; I have paid down revolving credit and not closed any accounts. One result with a lower credit score increased one of my closing fees by $900 but through a few stern conversations, the mortgage company will credit the $900 increase in fees. However, I am left with a lower credit score. The mortgage company stated Credco informed them they could pull multiple credit inquiries in 30 days and would only count as one hard hit on my credit rating but obviously that is not the case. How do I have my credit score adjusted due to their error? Help!
