Mortgage Approval - Better to Apply with Partner or Single
I have a good credit score - above the national average and about 5 years of steady income at the age of 21. My partner has an even better credit score than I do, close to the excellent range, however he just started bringing in a steady income at the age of 25. I know that in order to be approved for a mortgage, they typically require 2-years of steady income and work. In this case, would it be better for us to apply for a mortgage together or single? If single, which of us should be applying for the better interest rate?
