Defaulted Loans + Wage Garnishment
A few years after I graduated, I was out of work and things were very tough financially. Unfortunately, my SLs went into default and went to collections. For about the past 4 years, I've had wage garnishment, and I've paid off quite a lot of the loan that way. It seems that there is no indication anywhere on my credit report that this has happened. It's still showing the account status as it was when it was sent to collections, but none of the change in balance since. Additionally, in this past month, my credit dropped 180! points. I'm assuming due to something SL related, as nothing else on my credit changed. Any thoughts? I had a 750+ score up until May, when something triggered my score to take a nosedive. Not really sure what my next step should be.
