Credit utilization vs length of credit history
I am a joint account user, I'm assuming, on my parents' credit card. I have great length of credit history (35 years, but granted I'm only 29) but my credit utilization is at 44%. If this credit card was not on my report, my utilization would drop to <10% but my length would go down to 3 years. Would it be better for me to keep the credit history length or have a lower utilization rate?
