No Annual Fee, and Changing 5% cash back Helpful to 3 out of 3 people

In the process of building my credit, I wanted to obtain a card with no annual fee that I could keep as a "baseline" card for years. Though I had a thin file up until 4 months ago, I was instantly approved with 700 CL. So easy! Especially nice after hard pulls have been piling up from getting rejected a few times.

Also, the changing 5% cash back categories is a cool feature. This quarter, its gasoline, so I pretty much have been exclusively using this card for gasoline purchases. Next time its grocery stores, so I'll buy my groceries with this card. Just be aware that you have to log in to their website and MANUALLY activate it.

I would definitely recommend this card to anyone, especially those in the process of building their credit.

Sexy Card - But Apply Through Amazon! Helpful to 11 out of 11 people

I'm delighted to have added this card to my wallet!

Brief background: Credit history is 7 months old, and I already have a BofA secured card ($400), Crap1 Platinum ($500), and Amex Everyday Preferred ($5,500). TU 697, Equifax 695 (from whom Discover pulled), Experian 712. I have an income of $60k.

I was approved for a credit line of $4,000.

However, I applied directly via Discover's website. If you apply via the Amazon credit card marketplace, there is an additional bonus of a $100 Amazon gift card upon using the card once. I missed out on this, and called customer care to ask nicely if they would allow me to avail of that offer, but I was not able to. So, I thought I would give my fellow Credit Karma users the heads up, in case they were considering applying :)

Customer service has been stellar, however, and is right up there with Amex. Their agents are quite pleasant on the phone, and I look forward to doing business with them.

Enjoying this journey of filling my wallet with nice cards.

If you don't have a BK Helpful to 6 out of 6 people

Credit Karma kept telling me my chances were good for getting this card.  However, after application (twice over several moths) the reason for denial isn't my score but the fact that I have a discharged bankruptcy.  Have have many other cards with high limits but this card seems to automatically say NO to a person with a BK.  Might be useful info and prevent a hard pull if you are in the same situation.
