I have a $19000.00 limit and always pay off entire balance. They said I am getting the best APR.
If I change to a different card will that lower my overall score I have a 781 ?

If you pay in full each month, the APR doesn't. I agree with it as a matter of principle but I wouldn't do anything since that is a good limit and you probably have a long history with them. Worst case, just open another card and never use this one if you don't like the APR.

Yes, your credit score will lower, but not a lot, if you open a new account, and even then it's only temporary (6-12 months). Do NOT close the Citibank account because that WILL hurt you. If you are getting fantastic rewards for using the Citibank account then continue to use it as long as you KNOW you will be able to pay off the outstanding balance each month. You can get a lower-rate card for large purchases that you may not be able to pay off immediately (like, say, a refrigerator). You can shop around and find a much lower APR that still gives you good rewards.

why are you dealing with a high apr in the first place?? i have called all my cards and got them to lower my apr rates my rate now run from 9.24 to 15.24 which is my highest one for now . i talking about discover to boa to fia to chase. call the corpt office and see where that will get you, it worked for me. especailly since always either paid off my bill in full or paid half each month, like i said talk with corpt office.
