I just got on SSD after fighting 2 years, my lawyer told me not to pay any medical bills until the case was resolved now my credit score is poor.

Is the case resolved? If you owe and haven't paid, there isn't much you can do. You COULD file a dispute with the credit reporting agencies (Transunion, Equifax, Experian).

If the bills were disputed and are now covered, first go to the creditors to have it taken care of. If not, the next step will be going directly to the credit bureaus to try to resolve this.
However, depending on the state in which you live, the creditor may not be obligated to remove it from your report, as you owed at the time.
