I honestly don't know what I can do to get my score up at this point other than wait for the average age of my lines to get older and my hard credit inquiries to go down. Is there anything else I can do that doesn't require waiting? Should I be doing something to try to get my Total Accounts number higher? With 2 credit cards and a (0%) car loan, I can't think of a single new credit line that I could possibly open that wouldn't cost me money.
Here are my stats according to Credit Karma:
Open Credit Utilization: 18% - A
% of On-Time Payments: 100% - A
Avg Age of Open Credit Lines: 2 Years - D
Total Accounts: 7 - D
Hard Credit Inquiries: 6 - C
Overall Score: 684 - C

Increase your number of open accounts and pay your bills on time. Plus, your average age of accounts show that you need a longer timeline for credit history. As they say, all in due time ;)

How would you suggest I increase my total number of accounts? What kinds of new accounts can I open? Wouldn't opening new accounts lower my average age of open credit lines and add to my hard credit inquiries? If I'm going to need a higher total account number at some point though, I guess I should get it over with now so that they have time to age and have the hard credit inquiries pass, but the question is, what kind of accounts should I open?
