i wouldnt worry about it... you can risk creating more problems than you started with if you spend time chasing down inquiries you don't recognize... for example , in the case, of a collection agent that is looking for you, but, has not made contact with you regarding a debt that 6 years old.... leave him alone, and that debt falls of your credit in another 12 months give or take, and the inquiry he put on your file looking for you, will only be on there another 23 months or so,,, not really a long time... But, then you start asking questions, and he responds.... guess what? now, you have made contact with someone that wasn't actively looking for you, and now he can resubmit that same 6 yr old debt, back to the credit bureaus, and now the statute of limitations clock resets and starts all over again, for another 7 years... and now your scores take 'another' hit... let the inquires be....
