I am very impressed with the level of community involvement from this financial institution. Truly cleaning up their back yard while making their members feel loved and participants of community outreach. I absolutely love it!

product and service going down hill.

Been a member since 1964.  In 2010, i was Looking for a swing loan to facilitate selling and buying a different residence.  Red Canoe was not even close to being competitive.  I went with Well Fargo.

Archaic system

Outdated system. Can't make payment over phone with my credit or debit, transfer from one bank to another has been a nightmere.  I finally signed up for automatic payment, but couldn't even do that online. I had to fill out a form and send it in. If I lived there it would be ok, but for those who don't good luck.  I have been charged several late charges because I thought I processed my external payment only to find out that they didn't go through. I do all my banking on line and have never had such a convoluted web page to follow and process the payment.

I have been a member of this credit union for 30 years and in the last five they have turned to crap. At times I have had over $200,000 in savings here and due to their lack of quality service I have moved my money and keep minimal amounts in their bank. They are no longer the local bank. Their mortgage's are outsourced and they have become completely inpersonal. I used to really like this bank because it kept jobs local nd helped our local community, if you had a problem you could walk in and talk to a person, those times are long gone. If they want their customers to remain loyal, they would stay true to who they were, a local bank for our local SW Washington area, employ only those in our SW WA area and quit outsourcing. I have moved to the next local credit union, Fibre Federal, who is keeping everything local, has great service and provides customer service suprior to Red Canoe CU everyday.

After years, multiple auto loans paid off and tens of thousands of dollars run through their institution and error had them assess fees and take money out of my unrelated personal account.

They would not correct the error. This is how our "friendly local CU" treats the little guy.

No thanks, back to the cold, impersonal bank for me.
