It Has Gone Down Hill the past few years

High turnover (even on the executive ladder) , excessive hold times (30 minutes!), polices that just made me feel uncomfortable that I tried to address with management. You dont leave a CU after 5 years, a heloc and paid car loans for  1 or 2 reasons. There is a plethera of reasons. Its too bad. They are competetive but I draw the line on certain matters. I bank with Banks and CU's. I have found Both have their advantages so I mix it up. But time to find another CU. Tomorrow I close BrightStar,

Do NOT sign up for this credit union.  I cant even believe how bad the service is.  1.  Supervisor Giovanni thinks that it is wise to lose a customer over a 35 fee, when they could have made thousands off of me over the next 30-40 years of my life.  2. Customer service lied to me and said no supervisors today then called back and spoke to one.  3. Problem started when I made my very FIRST depost with them, and check was held for many days due to being a new account.  4. Mistakenly, I didn't realize that the check was being held so long, and started a $10 online payment automatically.  When money was not in account, BS slammed me with 35 fee.  5. I called to get fee reversed due to silly mistakes, and they abliged.  But they never warned me that this online payment of a lousy 10 was going to attempt to be repeated the next day.  6. THey slammed me with another 35 fee, and refused to reverse it.  7.  There is no way that my own online bill pay system should be working against me like this, it should protect me from silly mistakes like this.  8. I asked "Is it good business practices to lose a customer over a lousy 35 fee, when bright star could make thousands off of me for the next 40 years?" and the customer service rep said "Yes it is good business"  LOL  ARE YOU PEOPLE FRIGGIN BRAINWASHED????? WHATS WRONG WITH PEOPLE?  HORRIBLE STUPID CUSTOMER SERVICE

Unfortunately I have a auto loan with this pack of scammers. They loan me the $22000 and at the end I have paid more 25000 and still onw another $19000. I try to  refinance my car and they told me they couldn't because of my credit score.  I stop paying the car and now the car is for reposition, which honestly I prefer.  DO NOT GET INVOLVED WITH THIS SCAMMERS AT ALL OR WILL BE A NIGHTMARE FOR YOU AND YOUR WALLET. STAY AWAY FROM THIS THIEVES, THATS WHAT THEY ARE THIEVES! Costumer service is extremely rude on top of everything! BEWARE!

This credit union is NOT what it used to be , and to top it all off my **** account has been compromised 3 times within the past 4 months!! Yes they reimburse you the $, but the street of having to wait and constantly close out debit card to get another is way too stressful. The security of accounts is poor , and no i do not use my card at local gas stations etc .

Brightstar Credit union very unprofessional, inconsiderate, and rude to their customers.  For years I have witnessed this on first hand with my car loan. I believe in providing the best service as possible when it comes to any business. I’m not sure if the effort is poor in the hiring process, business culture, or leadership but this is the worst bank I’ve ever dealt with in my life. To all my fellow Floridian residents, I warn you, DO NOT use brightstar credit union if you seek adequate service and if you value your time and money. Beware of “Javier” who I’ve had the pleasure to deal with. (Worst experience ever with professionalism.)

I've been a member since sam chesser. I remember telling Sam that the call center was lacking in performance. Sam is no longer there. their service and call center is still poor. the hold times are excessive
