When should I pay off balance to build good credit?
I'm brand new to credit and have just got a Bank of America partially secured card to help me start building credit but I'm a little confused about when to pay off charges to build credit. My first statement came about a week after I got the card with a due date in March but I paid the whole thing off a day or two later. Now I have mad some other charges to the card which should only reflect in my next statement but will the current charges show as carrying a balance to the credit bureaus? i.e. if I've utiliised $100 of my $500 limit before the due date for my previous statement that I've already paid off, will it be reported as if I'm carrying a balance (I've heard bank of America reports a few days after the statement due date)?
