Reporting a false collection
I show that a collection agency has been reporting on my credit for a ambulance bill that was paid by my insurance THE SAME month they turned it over for non-payment. I have the check number from the check that my insurance issued for payment. I called the collection agency and was advised that they had turned it back over to the ambulance company and couldn't tell me why. My question is how do I get it off of my credit? It never should have been reported in the first place because it was paid.
