Paying off CC debt
Hello all. First off let me start by saying my question is not whether to pay back debt, but rather which to pay back first to make the biggest bang on my scores. I have tallied all my cc figuring at least a ratio of .49 of the credit limits. I would rather be under .30 but have to start somewhere. My question is, however, some of my account are closed (either by me or by credit grantor) but still show credit line and amount owed. Am I better to pay the accounts I have that are open first and then work on the closed accounts, or work on getting all accounts down to the .49 and then the .30 amounts? Any advice is appreciated. I am hoping to get my balances down and my scores up in hopes of obtaining some decent balance transfer offers, or a personal loan to pay off some higher apr cards.
