Opening a new account with old company...
I read somewhere that someone opened an account with a company that they had previously had an account that was closed on good terms and they were able to get the company to backtrack their reporting so that it looked like they were in good standing with the company the whole time. I have a young credit history of open accounts, but I have a credit card that was closed almost 10 years ago that was in good standing. I call the company up to see if there was a way to open a new account and have it backtracked so that I could boost my credit history, but the they said they could open a new account but it would show as a new account and the old account would still show closed. Has anyone ever been able to open an account and get the company to show a continuation of credit from a previous account?

I hope that makes sense to you guys.
