My name on spouse accounts increased my debt to credit and I was denied. What now?
My husband and I have kept our finances separate. He added me as an AU to three of his accounts. I use the accounts sometimes for purchases for him (he's disabled) and he pays the bills on his accounts but otherwise I'm not involved. I applied for a car loan with Chase (my bank since '97) today and was denied. Two of spouse's accounts with my name are over 70% of limit. He gets 0% interest loans and uses the money to make more money in the market. He is not AU on any of my accounts. What are the pros and cons of removing my name from his accounts?
