Missed payments on credit report - but not affecting score?
Hi, I have about 9 missed payments from 2010-2011, from two different accounts. I know that these missed payments will stay on my credit report for 7 years - but I've also heard that their affect on your credit score diminishes after a certain amount of time. When looking at Credit Karma transunion and equifax scores - they show a 100% and 99.5% payment history (which obviously isn't including my missed payments, as referenced above). They show my credit score as 748. I'm guessing that since the missed payments were from 4-5 years ago - they don't affect me anymore - but just show up in my credit report. Any explanation from anyone?
