Credit Card without Credit History
I have recently arrived in the USA as a sponsored employee with a 3 year visa. I have been trying to get a credit card from my bank since I arrived but keep getting declined because of a lack of credit history. I have had a secured credit card for 8 months now and Credit Karma is reporting my score as 728. I have no loans, pay a small amount on rent and have a decent income yet I have just been declined again after 8 months of building up good credit. I also have 8 years of credit history back home without missing a single payment. I'd really like to get a regular credit card so I can get the security deposit back that I put up for the card and the fact that I'm paying APR and monthly fees on my own money just to build up credit I know I have is incredibly irritating. Are PNC just being jerks or what do I have to do to get a **** credit card in this country? Is there a credit card out there that will allow me to get one with little credit history or that will take my history back home into account without destroying me with ridiculous APR and fees?

Thanks in advance...
