Charge-off question
I was medically evacuated out of Afghanistan when I was active army. I got back and got a medical discharge, but none of my gear made it back from Afghanistan. Now the army says I owe them $11,000. I was homeless when I got back, so I didn't realize it until after they had charged it off (1 late payment). This was in 2011. But it seems they keep updating it every February. Is this going to go away, or will it stay on my credit as long as they keep updating it?
