Bill in collection appears on my report
I had no credit and I'm now in the process of establishing credit now. I was going over my report and noticed I had a bill in collections. I completely forgot about that bill and now want to pay it off so it won't affect my credit score negatively. If I can get the collection to agree to the "pay for remove" deal is the collection agency obligated to remove it or will I have to fight with the collection agency to remove it from my credit report once it has been paid in full?
How have you successfully removed a bill in collections from your credit report? Thank you so much in advance!
