My wife and I both had our auto insurance score drop this last month. Mine from 840 to an 815. This is extremely weird because the only thing that should have been on there should have been removed because it was 3 years ago last month.
I did get a letter in the mail about "Joe" having an accident and a claim two months ago from my insurance company. (They have me on file as Joseph. Apparently someone else here has my same last name got in an accident and they couldn't find him.) I called them and they said don't worry about it because it wasn't me. Also a few months before that our insurance provider just dropped us out of the blue without a reason why. Could someone be using our information fraudulently?
Why would an auto insurance score drop with an old accident becoming 3+ years old?
Is there anyway to see whats on my insurance score?
PS I'm a 28/m in Oregon.

Your auto insurance credit score has nothing to do with your accidents. It has to do with your credit report and how you spend. Have you missed some payments?
