Workman's Comp Claim killed my credit score
I had a claim that wasn't paid. Not due to trying, but because of an incorrect code entered in to have the bill paid. I was contacted and I called workers comp and my doctors office who said it will be corrected. It wasn't and then went to collections. I then took it back to both and they got it resolved but in the mean time it took my credit score down by 120 points. I have never ever, had a late payment or missed payment and my score was 780. I tried to explain this wasn't my fault and it was taken care of but no one wanted to listen. I now have my score back up to 709 after 2 years but would love to do something to get it back to where it was.
