What is effect on credit score of tax lien withdrawal?
So I had three tax liens from the IRS and one from my state. All were paid in full with penalties and interest several years ago and marked as "paid / released". A couple of months ago I filed with the IRS and state petitioning for withdrawal. I just received notification from the IRS that they approved the withdrawal of their 3 liens. I think this means that they notify the holders of deeds and it is as if the liens were never filed? I am curious if anyone has experience with this. How long did it take? Do they also notify the credit bureaus? How much, if any does your credit score change?
